This two day, 16-hour course is based on Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines and is ideal for anyone in a recreational or occupational environment an hour or more away from EMS response. Also, great training to have if you live in a disaster prone area when Emergency Medical Services can be more than an hour away.

To prepare participants to give care for potentially life-threatening emergencies in a delayed-help situation, the American Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid course covers, Primary & secondary assessments, Head (Brain), neck and spinal injuries, Bone and joint injuries, Allergies and anaphylaxis, Burns, Wounds & wound infection, Hypothermia, Heat-related emergencies, Altitude-Related Illnesses
You’ll receive an emergency reference guide for use in the course, as well as a compact, weather-resistant pocket guide for reference in the field.
Prerequisites. Must be 14 years old and Must be currently certified in Adult CPR.
Certification valid for two years.
