Instructor Bio

With more than 30 years of professional, personal, competitive and sporting use of firearms, Sal has an extensive experience with modern small arms and their use. He has attended more than 500 hours of top-tier, professional firearms and related instruction which he has passed on in thousands of hours instructing and training novice, intermediate and professional shooters. His instructional expertise covers Fundamentals of Marksmanship, Defensive Use of a Firearm and Defensive Tactics, Anti–Piracy and Maritime Security (as per the STCW standards of the USCG and IMO), and First Aid / First Responder Training.

As an avid outdoorsman, he has taught Rifle Marksmanship, Wilderness First Aid, Primitive Survival, Lifesaving, Hiking, Orienteering for adult and youth groups to include The Boy Scouts of America and The Civil Air Patrol.

His experience also covers the creation and implementation of Shooting Range Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Officer Training Curriculum, and the Advanced Shooter Evaluation Program for the most technologically advanced indoor range in the Southeast United States.

Sal proudly served as a Heavy Weapons Infantryman in Operation Desert Storm with the 1st Cavalry Division and was honorably discharged in 1997.
